LEGO Super Heroes -The 2013 Arkham Asylum revealed!

After LEGO unveiled the next wave of Super Heroes minifigures at ComicCon earlier this summer, it was pretty much assumed there was going to be a new version of Arkham Asylum coming out in 2013. The Harley Quinn in disguise and Joker in orange jumpsuit pretty much sealed the deal in the minds of many fans. That feeling was proven correct today, as a press release is now out with the details of what looks like the biggest set yet in the Super Heroes lineup.

The 10937 Batman™ - Arkham Asylum Breakout set is 1,351 pieces and will carry a US retail price of $159.99 (CA $209.99 DE 159.99€ UK 129.99 £ DK  1399.00 DKK).

NOTE: While the press release says 1,351 pieces, the box art actually lists it as 1,619 pieces. That would be more in line with this price point, compared to what we have seen for SH sets in the past year.

Some shots of the set out of the box have also been posted, which just have me even more excited for this one to come out.

I must say, this set looks absolutely amazing and is far more impressive than the original version of Arkham. It has a wide array of great play features and the minifigures are just excellent. I have a feeling waiting to pick this one up at a discount is going to VERY difficult for me.
