Red Five standing by - LEGO unveils new UCS X-wing

The rumors are true. It looks like LEGO has looped back around to the start of the UCS line and will be bringing back a new version of the X-Wing starfighter. The set was revealed Friday at LEGO World in Denmark.

This 1559 piece set will retail for $199.99 and will release this coming May, just in time for the annual May the 4th celebration and sale that LEGO runs each year.

Honestly, I'm pretty excited for this to come out. I missed the original release of the X-Wing and the price has climbed too high for me to ever seriously consider picking it up. This will easily put it back in reach for me and many other collectors. I already have a copy of the current mini-figure version of this set, which I guess will pale in comparison to this beauty. Between Palace Cinema and still needing to pick up the Haunted House, this is going to be an expensive year for me.
