Happy birthday LEGO!
The LEGO company turns 80 this month. While it did not start out making the bricks we all know and love today, the accomplishment is still something worth celebrating. To coincide with the occasion, LEGO has released this excellent video about how it all got started.
Yes, much of the dialogue does sound like a cheesy PR film and I half expected a pitch man to come out at one point with a "but wait, there's more!" It still gives an great little history lesson about the company we all know and love and the production values are really good. I know I learned a few new facts from watching.
