Bag End and Rancor Pit revealed

San Diego Comic Con is in full swing, and LEGO looks like it will be using the opportunity to give us a glimpse at what 2013 holds in store. First up is a set that I'm pretty sure many people have been looking forward to ever since the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit line was introduced. It's Bag End, the home of Bilbo and (later on) Frodo Baggins.

I love it. You get a range of great figures and a very awesome looking little hobbit hole. I'll be curious to see what the interior looks like, but it better include a kitchen!
UDPATE: From Bricks to Bothans has posted a pretty extensive flickr gallery of Bag End and is reporting US retail on this will be $59.99 when it comes out in December.

Next, we get another highly anticipated set. The Rancor Pit!

Another great line of figs, although I'm sure there will be complaints that the Rancor is not true to scale. Judging from the tiles and bumps on top, it looks like this set may indeed be designed to fit underneath the throne room from the Jabba's Palace set that was recently released. I have not had a chance to see that set in person yet though, but I'm sure it won't be long before that's confirmed.

Thanks to those over on Brickset who posted links to the images.
